💡 Un buen software no nace del caos. Nace de procesos maduros, medibles y repetibles. Por eso existe CMMI: Para convertir el desorden en excelencia.

Call it a Jeni's ice cream standard, I've got a nighttime double scoop 🍨 for you: Here are the six companies Medicare picked to run its AI prior authorization pilot

And House Democrats are introducing a bill tomorrow to try to stop the program, called WISeR.

This is your reminder than #IDIQ order competitions under FAR 16.5 are not subject to FAR Part 15 #discussion rules. Here, limited interchanges around #CMMI issue did not require reopening pricing or inviting final revisions. https://washingtonhorizon.com/centuria-corporation-b-422245-6/

I understand many people are comfortable with VSM but I never used it and I find it cumbersome and complicated to understand. I worked with companies using #CMMI, #ISO, #6Sigma, #SCRUM, along with a few other standards and frameworks and, apart from my #DynamicalSystem model, which I use to explain practically everything these days 😀, I try not to have strong preferences for specific tools and frameworks and try to learn first how what the company is currently using and familiar with can be re-used, tweaked or augmented to achieve their goals for the future.

Has anyone used the #PersonalSoftwareProcess (a.k.a. #PSP)?

How did you learn it? I am trying to learn by myself, but the learning process highly recommends taking classes with a coach/trainer. Is it really worth it?

I have also found that the exercises are aimed towards a #waterfall approach, so have you used it with a highly #iterative / #agile approach like #tdd?

As a reference, I'm following the #psp for the 21st century (https://softwareexcellencealliance.org/psp-for-the-21st-century/) but there are also materials for the whole thing:

* PSP for Engineers - https://softwareexcellencealliance.org/psp-for-engineers-version-4-course/
* PSP Fundamentals - https://softwareexcellencealliance.org/psp-fundamentals-and-advanced/

(It's also difficult to understand which one to select. There are overlaps in both versions)

I read the book from W. S. Humphrey but I found it somewhat difficult to follow after the first few chapters.

@bryanbrake @thefluffy007 Probably closer to a #CMMI #maturity level kind of way, though it's a good question... would need to noodle on it a bit more.

@mzyw @thefluffy007

you mean in a checklist audit kind of way or a #CMMI #maturity level type of way? #cybersecurity #infosec
