We’re delighted that this year’s award honors research from our institute and @unijena , conducted within the #ClusterOfExcellence Balance of the Microverse.
The team unraveled a bacterial “radar” system and in doing so discovered a new natural product, pyrofactin - highlighting an innovative research approach.

♻️🌳 Exzellenzcluster #IntCDC erfolgreich: Wissenschaftler*innen der #unistuttgart, des Max-Planck-Instituts für Intelligente Systeme und Bauhaus Erde forschen im Cluster „Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Transformative Architecture“ an digitalen Methoden und einem interdisziplinären Co-Design, die das Bauwesen nachhaltig transformieren.

Bereits neun Demonstratorgebäude zeigen eindrücklich wie sich digitale Entwurfs- & Planungsmethoden, cyber-physische Prozesse und nachhaltige Material- und Bausysteme positiv auf die Umwelt auswirken. Das Ziel für die zweite Förderperiode: Bio-basierte Baumaterialien, KI-Technologien und das effektive, kreislauffähige, digitale Planen & Bauen voranbringen und so noch mehr Ressourcen und CO2 einsparen.

Der Cluster erhält durch die @dfg_public eine Förderung für die nächsten 7 Jahre.
