If anyone happens to be in a place with #war going on, then it's fairly likely they'll cut the internet off at some points. How will you communicate then?

Maybe by using #briarapp which is peer to peer encrypted messages and forums which needs no internet access, messages can spread peer to peer over bluetooth and shared local wifi networks.

Seems like it might be useful to some people at the moment.

I've have tried #tox , #briarapp, and #deltachat. Tox has a stable serverless back bone #Jami does too but there ui's leaves a lot to be desired. #Briarapp has a good app ui but no ios or desktop support. Apart they all are passable if you can ignore there short commings. But if they worked together or at least agreed on a common standard I think they would all be more usable and palatible to casual users.

Keybase got bought by zoom. Not to say there aren't secure but just something to know about. I would recomend giving #briarapp a look they have a fediverse account at @briar
