Curious to hear how folks configure #qutebrowser. Like, there's no default binding for Back/Forward, and a few other things... I can't think of an obvious mapping with doesn't overlap with some default, so I'd like to know how others configure and drive this browser.

Qutebrowser, I love you, qtwebengine, not so much.
I am having to rebuild qtwebengine today, 3 hours 41 minutes so far. I reckon another hour left.

Finally, we have qutebrowser support: https://hister.org/posts/the-long-road-to-qutebrowser-support-in-hister

An ideal is that it should not happen.
The reality might be Python-related in this case. Two days ago:
Default Python has been upgraded to 3.12 : r/freebsd

<https://www.reddit.com/r/freebsd/comments/1ugdsdk/comment/ou25r7m/> noted the removal of qutebrowser.

I'm making a concerted effort to use Qutebrowser again. I genuinely like this browser and any quirks I come across I am ironing out as they pop up their head.

I want to use keyboard driven website quite a while, So far i tried #qutebrowser
#nyxt but i couldn't use it after a while so i stayed in #librewolf for a long time. until i stumble across #glidebrowser in @idlip blog on EWM. Immediately switched to it.Reason:
- Firefox fork
- Customizable through typescript
- Support Emacs key binding (taken the code from Github discussion).Have some issues here and there but it's awesome.

Upgraded another machine to @fedora 44. Upgrade went well, no issues. #Qutebrowser on this machine wouldn't launch. Looks like an issue #QT and GPUs, since this one has an #Nvidia GPU. Workaround seems to be to play with an environment variable. This worked for me: `QTWEBENGINE_FORCE_USE_GBM=1 qutebrowser`

Having a wonderful start with #qutebrowser :flan_hurrah:
I use the #Dvorak keyboard layout, so using H, J, K & L for navigation makes little sense compared to D, H, T & N!
Thanks to qutebrowser's powerful configuration system, I've been able to move all the default keys to Dvorak-friendly alternatives.
Bravo @the_compiler, and thank you so much for a wonderful project!

Previous post as well as this one, were both written in #qutebrowser btw. :)

I gotta admit, I am starting to like #qutebrowser. Still need to figure out if I can integrate bitwarden (I know there is a script for that) with Passkey support. If that's a possbility, I might switch for some time to give it a proper test run as my main browser. Being able to navigate fully vim-style is just very nice.

Okay so I've discovered the magic of #greasemonkey user scripts in #qutebrowser, but now I've got a problem: how do I (sustainably) sync that to the web browser on my phone? 😅

PSA for #Qutebrowser users (#Qt6 #Webengine based): we need to use this option to enable #kerberos support in `~/.config/qutebrowser/autoconfig.yaml` (for example, if you're a @fedora package maintainer and don't want to have to keep re-logging into Fedora websites):
```
qt.args:
global:
- auth-server-allowlist=*<domain>
```Used to be `auth-server-whitelist` but changed at some point.

Ok , so importing all my bookmarks from multiple locations right? Importing into #qutebrowser which you can use quick-bookmarks or just bookmarks.
#qutebrowser doesn't really parse out the actual urls. At least I haven't found a way to do it yet. I can import just fine and use per device via file:/// but I want to use these bookmarks everywhere.

@tusharhero oh my bad probably. Using #qutebrowser on my laptop and sometimes I screw up the keybindings with #niri #emacs. Thanks for calling that out.

Unbefriedigend.

Well, my Firefox on #archlinux has decided that a lot of certificates can't be validated any more so I fell back to using #qutebrowser until I find time to debug what's happening. A quick search didn't pop up other people with the same issue, so I suspect it's a me problem. :(

BTW this is is my current mail setup using #niri + #danklinux (on top of Fedora on M1 Air). All the visual peace of a console client but still offering preview one shortcut away.
- #mbsync maintains my IMAP boxes synced locally
- #aerc friendly console mail client
- #qutebrowser to preview HTML when I really need to
