@Marloezovic #bitchat zag ik een tijdje geleden voorbij komen. Het werkt eigenlijk helemaal los van internet. Het maakt verbindingen via bluetooth. Lokale verbindingen dus waar op zich door de koppelingen grote afstanden gehaald kunnen worden.
In een verleden iets vergelijkbaars over gelezen bij demonstraties in t buitenland.
Maar gezien de steeds grotere verspreiding van smartphones zou het eem ideaal protocol kunnen zijn onder moeilijke omstandigheden.
'Zolang er internet is' zal bijna niemand t gebruiken... 😇

'De social media' (big tech dus) is compleet gesloopt van zn sociale functie. Ik zie geen enkele noodzaak om dat overeind te houden.
Voor de rest heeft sociale media altijd wel weer zich opnieuw uitgevonden.
Ik zit hier soms met verbazing te kijken naar wat via een bridge van bs afkomt.

Opgewonden standjes...Dat discussies weer opknippen naar eigen servers en binnen eigen kring (abonnees) is niet zo gek.
Vergeet niet dat een stad nooit een heel grote kroeg had waar iedereen komt, maar dat altijd vele verschillende kroegen de dienst uitmaken. Samen 'het uitgaanscentrum' vormen.Dat een Twitter dus uiteindelijk faalt is niet zo vreemd. Dat FB het langer uithoudt met al zn groepjes is ook logisch.
Ik zie de opkomst van #Matrix met veel genoegen tegemoet. Net als #Bitchat trouwens.

This is cool, looks like the #Bitchat Mesh is actually running in the background now. It's been months since I used it, but this hadn't worked for me in older versions. Checked the app out yesterday, and am pleased to see that it's still running today! -
