This says https://rns.recipes/forum/general/re-discontinuing-the-github-mirror #reticulum code is to be taken off #github or IP based repos. I was not able to join the discussion - was locked. Just wanted to say that github is the reference location for code (a shame, but still fact), and that I am using #radicle as a robust meshed git repo system & #codeberg so no sheep. As mirror repo codeberg/github are ok locations just to get it out & get bootstrapped. To only get the #RNS code over #rngit reticulum itself seem not beginner-friendly.

@eff check out #Reticulum
It offers strong encryption and can bridge over almost anything that has two points of communication such as #LoRa, local wifi and Bluetooth low energy (BLE), the internet, #i2p, #yggdrasilnetwork, even Morse code is technically with the ability of the specification.
Truly amazing stuff.

Announcing the BYOMesh!
We've been hard at work designing what I believe is now the worlds SMALLEST & most CAPABLE LoRa companion dev kit ever!
It combines the tried and true SX1276 allowing access to the full sub-1GHz ISM band all mesh enthusiast know and love, along with the SX1281 providing high speed 2.4GHz LoRa all on ONE tiny board.

I've long been fascinated by the #mesh network #reticulum & the #LXMF messaging protocol built atop it—especially for areas w/o reliable Internet, or where govt. blackouts occur. I strongly believe bridges from LXMF to the open social web & open messaging protocols like #DeltaChat are strategic. I'd love to connect with others sharing similar thoughts.

@nodestar Am still learning #LXMF and #Reticulum - find it promising but deeply in need of good apps and better UX.

Excited to try this out: https://github.com/roogle-dev/reticulum-phantom
> Decentralized, end-to-end encrypted P2P file sharing over the Reticulum mesh network. The first torrent-like application built natively on Reticulum.
Update: I was informed this was vibe coded and finally got around to reading more into it. I can't recommend this. Please see this link for more info: https://github.com/roogle-dev/reticulum-phantom/issues/3#issuecomment-4285042507

#LXMF deserves to be treated as a first-class consumer messaging protocol. Let's build it the phone it deserves.

#LoRa isn't what most people want. #LXMF actually could be.
LoRa is a powerful capability which LXMF can use when it's available, but designing the entire ecosystem around it may have narrowed the imagination of what this stack can be.

Yo, we're getting close to releasing @dataparty's first small but cutting edge step into the hardware world.
If you're excited about mesh radios, ble packet capture and partying on the data I think you're gonna want to get on the mailing list 😉 👇🏿

#NASA hoped to create an internet between planets. The delay-tolerant protocol that NASA could only dream of, one developer actually built.
What classical DTN sometimes gets wrong is proportionality. Implementing BPv7 correctly is a substantial engineering undertaking.
#Reticulum achieves DTN-class resilience at a fraction of the operational weight, doesn't require a sysadmin, can run on cheap parts, even when the internet is down.
