we will certainly have some #fediverse #mastodon #reticulum #lora #lorawan #meshtastic in the mix.

most of the sessions will be quite hands-on, not planning to offer online/remote -
perhaps except for some more presentation-like sessions

but open for all locals

It is true that danish universities have ample #IPv4 space, so there hasn't been direct pressure to migrate,
From a merely pragmatic point of view, #NAT works fine for 99% of all things, as long as we are talking workplace and admin IT - non-specialist needs.
For people who actually do research in IT, like at the #ITUniversity, the situation is different, though.
And of course, users will never find out about the differences, if they never get a glimpse of #IPv6

Primært at du selv - ikke algoritmer du ikke har indblik i - bestemmer hvad og med hvem du kommunikerer.

Her på #ITUniversity #ITU er vi en #UniPåFedi - og deler gerne vores erfaringer med andre, hvis det var.
Vores Mastodon er p.t. kun til ansætte, og der må siges at alle dem som er #fediverse -aktivt har typisk deres *primære* instans andre steder - domain/fag-specifiske steder. Det giver mere mening for akademiker som tit skifter Uni, dog ikke deres arbejdsområder.

I wonder what position my own #university will take -
will it, like many other #universities and public institutions, join the #eXit and leave X/Twitter?
It seems to be about time ...
