  2. For someone who is used to work with a quirky Ender-3, this machine is surprisingly fast...

  4. Heute meinen ersten #Benchy gedruckt.

  5. Our first Prusa arrived back in 2018, and the Mk3 is still going strong. 💪
A member spent hours giving it a proper overhaul and it’s back printing lovely parts again — a bit slower than newer machines, but we still love it.

Here it is printing a red Benchy using filament from RS. 🚤🧵

  6. The basic #Prusa #CoreOne build is done! Had a few issues with heat sensor wiring (me being an idiot and flipping two cables) and the Z-axis making loud scary sounds and getting stuck. Wires were switches around, bed mounts were loosened and retightened and now it seems to be working. Right now it's doing the fastest and most aggressive #Benchy print I've ever seen. In lipstick red no less. It's pretty awesome to see something you assembled yourself work so flawlessly.

When I say basic, it's because this printer has some way to go still. I'm mounting an #mmu3 and a top filament box. Forgot the name of it, but I'll post an update. Probably not until after Christmas.

  7. i found out the flashforge saves timelapses of all your prints, so here's the #benchy being printed

  8. turns out that #benchy was an IMPOSTER BOAT which was preloaded onto my FlashForge and not the original boat

but here they be. had just enough filament left for one!

  9. and, of course, i printed a (modified) #benchy that was included on the flashforge. this seems to be pretty different from the original...

  10. Having some fun with glow-in-the-dark PLA for my 3D printer.

(Planning on printing some decorations for my daughter's room)

  11. #3dprinters do you know what that tube locking thing is called and have you ever had to replace on the regular?

Tube came loose during a #benchy.

  12. Jumped into to a new rabbit hole and just finished my very first 3D print of an iconic #Benchy. This is sooo much fun. Don’t call me in the next few weeks. :D #3dprinting

  13. My venerable #prusa MK3S+ was resurrected from its ~3-year slumber.

Updated the firmware to the most recent one, dusted off the print bed, put glue on the bed, loaded up filament, and tried to print an old GCODE from the SD card, a full-plate sheet to check for leveling.

That particular file might have been generated for the MK3 (this printer was upgraded from that model), and it threw out SEVERAL errors, either related to leveling (I suspect it might have to do with the fact that new firmware expects to only level around the part, not the whole bed) or temperature.

Sliced a #Benchy, slapped it onto the SD card, and it's now doing a ~1.5-hour print like it had never stopped a day.

I'll have to see if I can get PETG working, too. If so, I'll be able to print quite a bit more things than on an 18x18 bed 😛

And I'll need to get a phone for it, for Octo4a.

  14. More updates in the epic tale of my #3dprinting drama. I went to do a #Benchy test and it took three layers for me to realize what the first issue was: the print bed belt was WAY too loose and it was wobbling all over the place. I've tightened that and also declogged any clogs that were in there. So far, Benchy print #2 is looking a lot more promising.

  15. nti-group.com/home/information

The owners of the IP for Benchy claim that they never initiated the takedowns and have now publicly declared that variants are OK and placed the model into the public domain!
