  1. I completed the assembly of the StealthBurner toolhead - isn't it beautiful?

I'm impressed by the engineering that went into this toolhead, it was fun to assemble!

  2. The manual says to remove the cover of the 5015 radial fan and "clip off and file down the stock mounting ears".

    How barbaric... however, it's done!

  3. Four years on and still printing strong! Our trusty Voron V0 is finally getting some TLC - a replacement of the extruder motor wiring marks the beginning of its next chapter. Anyone else's 3D printer aging like a fine machine? #VoronV0 #MaintenanceMode #3dprinting #3dprinter #voron

  4. I installed the print bed at my #voron trident. This thing is massive!

This 10 mm thick aluminium piece measures 300 mm x 300 mm and weighs 3,1 kg.

I added a glass surface from my #Ender3 for comparison...

  8. An blunt advice for #3DPrinting:

If you want to diy, look into #Voron designs, RatRig, ProForge 300 and others.

HOWEVER if you just want a printer that works, from a company that won't fuck you over, buy a #Prusa. Period. Their attempts at OSI-non-compliant licenses are a piss in the ocean compared to what #BambuLab, #Creality, #FlashForge, #Elegoo, #Anycubic and even #Sovol have been done or are still doing (to be fair, with Sovol it's mostly trashy customer support).

  13. @geerlingguy I'm 69 years old and was an attorney for 40 years, many of which were spent in litigation. One thing I've learned:

You fool me once, you dumbbell.
You fool me twice, me dumbbell.

  23. Aaaaan the SD card died on my #Voron v0 rpi…. Shame on me for not doing backups. It was “just a test” that ended up working. But seriously, why do we still use SD cards? Usually I would go for a #Radxa or an #OrangePi board with eMMC. But RPi had a pre-built image, and so I went that path…

  24. I just learned, that LDO included mounting bars for the linear rails, which seem to be much better than the default roll-in nuts.

However, in contrast to the roll-in nuts, the mounting bars have to be installed _before_ mounting the extrusions. Unfortunately, this is not documented in the LDO notes for the kit.

Well, since "practice" means doing something over and over again...

  30. @3dprinting

#Voron Tap question - since it’s the entire tool head that moves, I shouldn’t have an issue swapping out the actual hotend, right?

Printer comes with a V6 hotend and I don’t want that at all.

  34. Success! Hard won over 29 hours with my on my Trident AWD 350.
No false filament runouts triggered, so my redesign of the hot-end switch is working. Just a few clogs, the usual filament unload fails and a blocked nozzle which I dealt with by just putting a new nozzle on. Amazed I saved this after so long on the print bed.
