The wife of Kęstutis and mother of Vytautas the Great, her story is intertwined with legend. According to tradition, she was a vaidilutė – a keeper of the sacred pagan fire in Palanga – until Kęstutis took her to Trakai and married her.

According to tradition, Birutė was laid to rest in Palanga. Today, Birutė Hill – one of Lithuania’s most iconic sacred sites – still bears her name and keeps her memory alive.

What Caused the Post-WW2 Decline of Urban America? Part 2 – Dropping the Hammer

The Shelley’s home in St. Louis was ground zero for the 1948 ruling that struck down neighborhood Freedom of Association. That year, a weaponized Supreme Court invented a “right” of forced entry that a more sober and diverse Supreme Court had unanimously rejected in 1926. Urban chaos exploded when the Court got it wrong.

As detailed in Part 1, dozens of major U.S. cities experienced a cooling of growth in the 1930s and then suffered huge losses after WW2, reversing over a century of previous expansion and prosperity. Two big factors in that decline were the unprecedented federal assaults on the historical work/save/invest ethic via nationalizing home mortgages (instant bank credit) in the 1930s and the 1935 nationalization of unions triggering the downfall of urban manufacturing that froze millions of middle-class jobs.

A third and more devastating federal action was inventing the “right” of forced entry by blacks (or anyone else) into previously peaceful English, German, Irish, Polish, Italian and other diverse ethnic communities. This final act of reckless social engineering permanently chased away millions of established urban residents and replaced them with a new class of predominantly poor, rural, uneducated people who often had little or no experience with the rigors of owning and maintaining property.

The federal imposition that chased people out of stable urban communities was the Supreme Court’s 1948 Shelley vs. Kraemer decision that abolished Freedom of Association in American neighborhoods.

This radical decision reversed the 1926 Corrigan vs. Buckley ruling that had unanimously protected those community rights in a very similar case. Unfortunately, both rulings have been largely forgotten in today’s climate of extreme aversion to anything branded “racism.” That reflexive avoidance has left enormous gaps in the public record.

How the Roman Empire Transformed the Jesus Movement into an Imperial Religion

In my previous article, “The Forgotten Divide Between the Original Jesus Movement and the Modern Church,” I argued that the simple spiritual movement associated with Jesus of Nazareth gradually evolved into a powerful religious institution. I suggested that the earliest communities of believers were centred on devotion to God, personal transformation, and the fellowship of ordinary believers, whereas later centuries witnessed the emergence of increasingly centralised ecclesiastical structures, doctrinal councils, and institutional authority. I also examined the historical development of the New Testament canon, the diversity of early Christian traditions, the significance of the Greek word ekklesia, and the question of whether Jesus himself ever intended to establish the kind of hierarchical institution that later came to dominate Christendom.

But an even deeper question remains. If the original movement was transformed, what exactly was it transformed into? How did a movement centred on inner spiritual awakening become a religion increasingly associated with institutional authority, sacramental systems, imperial power, and theological doctrines that many historians agree developed only gradually over the centuries?

This article traces that transformation from the earliest Jesus movement through the influence of Paul, the development of sacrificial theology, key doctrines and contested translations, the emergence of ecclesiastical authority, the concept of “Judeo-Christianity,” and the Roman Empire’s adoption and transformation of Christianity. Together, these developments gave rise to the dominant form of Christianity that spread throughout the Roman world and, later, much of the modern world.

Throughout this article I distinguish between the historical question of whether Jesus existed and the separate question of whether the earliest teachings associated with his name differ from the institutional religion that later developed. The latter question remains important regardless of where one stands on the historicity debate.

Zheng He did not navigate one single unknown nautical mile. Yes, his ships were impressively large, but he merely visited places, established diplomatic relations, and exchanged exotic goods. He was an eunuch.

Ibn Battuta, likewise, was not an explorer, but a traveler who visited, from 1325 to 1354, the known world of North Africa, the Middle East, East Africa, Central and South Asia, the Iberian Peninsula, and West Africa.

In stark contrast, the Vikings, between the eighth and eleventh centuries:

i) established settlements in large areas of England, Scotland, Ireland, and France;

ii) stormed eastwards through the Baltic down into the Black Sea and imposed a ruling dynasty in Kiev from which the name “Russia” derives;

iii) created Normandy from which point William the Conqueror took over the whole of England after the famous Battle of Hastings (1066);

iv) created the Kingdom of Sicily that lasted hundreds of years.

v) They also discovered Iceland, not accidentally, since this land had been described before, though never explored, as “Thule” in various writings, creating a nation with about 30,000 by 930.

vi) And they discovered and colonized Greenland, 200 miles away, starting in 978, followed by a well-planned expedition of 25 ships and several hundred prospective settlers.

vii) And, amazingly, they discovered and established a colony in America 5 centuries before Columbus, which they called “Vinland”. It was at first a chance sighting by Bjarni Herjolfsson, soon followed by planned exploration led by Eirik the Red, and then planned settlement by Thorfinn Karlsefni.

Now, it needs to be added, as contemporary historians of the Vikings have explained, that Icelandic geographers of the early Middle Ages “showed an astonishing sophistication in their image of the northern world”.

We have a manuscript dating from about 1300, Geographical Treatise, compiling this knowledge, “based on the actual experience of Icelandic sailors”. There is another Book of Settlement which describes the settlement of Iceland 870 to 930.

The Viking/Norsemen/Icelandic peoples also wrote, between 1220 and 1280, two fascinating sagas of their explorations of Iceland, Greenland, and Vinland: The Saga of the Greenlanders, and The Saga of Erik the Red.

These are stories of the events and of the major characters associated with the explorations and settlements occurring around 970-1030.

These men were farmers-sailors-warriors, and aristocratic in temperament, by which I mean they had an indomitable will and pride as free men.

This explains why the type of government they created in Iceland was republican (a combination of aristocratic/democratic rule) as were the governments created everywhere by Europeans.

Know your history. They are erasing it as we speak. The academics in charge of our universities, many of whom are increasingly nonwhite, are consciously falsifying this history, spitting on it. Don’t let them trash your dear ancestors!

Defense Rests in Karmelo Anthony Trial – Closing Statements Expected Tomorrow – Jury will be Sequestered During Deliberations

On Monday afternoon, the defense team officially rested its case without calling Karmelo Anthony to the stand. According to multiple media observers the defense was very weak.  The defense witnesses ended up being solid witnesses for the prosecution upon cross examination.

The evidence against Karmelo Anthony is overwhelming. The defense was reliant upon previous fabrications sold to the media that did not prove out in the courtroom.

The prosecution witnesses were consistent and strong in the case against the accused.

The jury was dismissed for the day Monday and is expected to return Tuesday morning for closing arguments.

There was an initial discussion about a plea agreement, likely spurred by the weight of the prosecution. However, no plea deal was reached, likely rejected by the prosecution, and the case is now headed toward jury deliberation.

Keep in mind if Karmelo Anthony had taken a plea agreement before the trial, his family would not have been able to fundraise from the process. The decision to push the case to trial was as much for financial gain as it was a roll of the dice on whether their attempted racist narrative would work.

The jury will be sequestered during deliberation.

Karmelo Anthony is ineligible for both the death penalty and life in prison without parole since he was only 17 when he killed Austin Metcalf.

The maximum sentencing he’ll receive is life in prison with the possibility of parole, if he is convicted on his first-degree murder charge. This means parole eligibility after 30 years, or half of his sentence, depending on the specifics.

He is leaving out covert violent attacks against rivals, especially when they are young. Attacks range from low dose poisoning to lobotomies to murder. I am not sure if Dan is aware of the scale of these attacks, but am confident he is smart enough to figure it out. Covert attacks by an army of infiltrators are extremely difficult to prove or even notice. This is especially true when attacks are directed against young people before their careers begin. Trump right now is showing conspicuous signs of possibly having been cognitively damaged or discombobulated by a targeted energy weapon or some other means. Keep this in mind the next time you see a more or less normal friend go bonkers. Our normal reaction is to assume they are losing it, started drinking or using drugs or are simply going crazy. Rarely does anyone suspect a covert attack designed to disable or control the victim. I am not saying this is definitely the case with Trump. I am saying he is an example of what you might see happening to a loved one, relative, friend or colleague. The person becomes a weird deranged version of what they were because that is how the mind is affected. From that information, most of us wrongly assume the person is simply devolving into some core state that we may or may not have thought was there. Our minds seize on simple reasons for the victim’s demise and rarely wonder if something sinister is being done to them. Consider how almost everyone is viewing Trump right now. Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi lectures on Kabbalistic/Zoharic prophecies about end-times events. In 1997, he transitioned to full-time Torah study and teaching at the Ohr Yisrael Yeshiva in Monsey, New York, and began producing kiruv (outreach) videos online in 2004, revolutionizing Orthodox Jewish outreach through social media.

Mizrachi is the founder of the non-profit organization Divine Information, established in 1995, which aims to connect Jews to Judaism and Torah through lectures, videos, and educational resources. His website, DivineInformation.com, hosts over 700 lectures and has a global following across more than 50 countries, primarily in the U.S., Israel, Canada, and England.
