Iran’s internet shutdown,
now in place for 36 hours
as the authorities seek to quell escalating anti-government protests,
represents a “new high-water mark” in terms of its sophistication and severity, say experts
– and could last a long time.

Tataloo, der nach Medienberichten mit der #Revolutionsgarde auftrat, die brutale Niederschlagung der iranischen #Protestbewegung befürwortete und die getötete Jina Mahsa #Amini als "Hure" beschimpfte, rief seine Anhänger auf, sich gegen den #Boykottaufruf zur Wehr zu setzen. Seither wird Mina Ahadi massiv bedroht ("Du solltest ab dieser Sekunde auf dich aufpassen und wachsam sein, denn ich komme mit einem Messer"). Die #Polizei schritt jedoch zunächst nicht gegen die Absender der Morddrohungen ein, sondern gegen die Vorsitzende des Zentralrats der Ex-Muslime, die angeblich die Rechte des Veranstalters des Tataloo-Konzerts verletzt habe.
