Die alten Geräte, die damit geliefert wurden, hatten noch #AlienDalvik mit #GooglePlay (Services & Store).

Offiziell unterstützte Drittgeräte (Sony-Xperia-Mittelklasse etwa) haben Alien Dalvik, aber ohne Google Play. F-Droid geht. Goldene Mitte.

Nicht offiziell unterstützte Geräte haben gar kein Alien Dalvik und können nur SailfishOS-Apps nutzen. Da wird's auch mit #Storeman und #Chum düster.

After losing and getting a new #Xperia XA2 I reinstalled #Sailfish again, downloaded from Jolla store. Now I learned to live without Android-support and that activation is bound to one IMEI.
I requested the support now to change the IMEI, but sadly they let me enough time deciding to install #LinageOS 😞

Puh, das #SailfishOS-Update hat tatsächlich anstandslos funktioniert und #AlienDalvik läuft auch noch, auch wenn ich es nur für #Conversations und die App meines Autoherstellers brauche.

Wie auch immer:
Diesmal habe ich dann doch etwas gründlicher als sonst auf das Backup geachtet ;) und bin sehr glücklich, dass es nicht nötig war. ...

how do mobile data, phone numbers and sms/mms/calls work there? anyone? does it just work outta the box or does it require some setup? what about #gapps, can you install #anbox and put gapps in it?

Und die native Sailfish-App Contrac (https://openrepos.net/content/flypig/contrac) ist eine Public Beta mit dem Status "kann funktionieren, kann aber auch nicht funktionieren, der Entwickler weiß es selber nicht, Nutzung auf eigene Gefahr".

@amolith Not actually an Android user: I'm running #SailfishX on an Xperia X with #AlienDalvik compatibility layer. #Fdroid is the only Android store I'm using, except for three proprietary apps (online banking, TV streaming, TeamViewer).
