What #YYC went through just 2 days before a debate night (and indeed election) that entirely ignored it, #NewYork's going through today & the imagery is equally horrific. Alberta's emissions are far & away the highest in Canada & we just held an election where any talk of this was verboten. Again.

Doubtless Smith's now infamous call to Coutts blockade championing Pawlowski cost her some votes but not enough to lose. As a rule opposing federal mandates doesn't hurt provincial candidates in Alberta. That's a BIG PROBLEM for climate preparedness.
