Google open sources their Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) libraries to support age ID verification.
1. Authenticate your birth date with a trusted authority (the Issuer) and receive a cryptographically signed digital certificate.
2. A website requiring an age ID sends you a random maths puzzle.
3. The ZKP library solves the puzzle with your digital cert and replies with the proof.
4. Using the Issuers Public Cert the website validates the proof. -
Discord will begin testing new forms of Age verification, face scans will still be an option, but now they will trial accepting Google Wallet & credit Card Checks. Face scans will now occur On-Device with a new vendor named "Incode"

Both California & Colorado are going ahead with their HORRIBLE Age-verification bills, however, both are now specifically excluding Open-Source OS's.
IMO the bill should not exist in the first place, and should not pass, and is a giant publicity stunt that will cost tons of time, effort, and money, but ultimately fail to do a single thing to protect kids.
