I also find it so funny that #GreenParty supporters are fuming at Andy's decision to stand in, and want #GPEW to properly contest - when even its own former MP and party leader pleaded not to do it.
the reason is simple though. unlike constantly lying leftwing version of Farage, so far Andy is the only politician in UK who is popular and positively viewed. and if Burnham is to become PM & implement his proposed programme, he'll suck the air out of both populists.

the story of a person who was once part of a system he believed in, went against it, withstood everything he was thrown at, and managed to create a platform for unity against populism. if there would be more center-right politics like him...
