Figuring out NPCs for my #DnD campaign. To save on prep time, I'm trying to leverage the generic NPC blocks from the Monster Manual, and then tweaking (rather than building out the NPC characters with D&D Beyond, which is what I normally do).

I think this will work, though I'm disappointed there's no archdruid in #DnD2024 (though it's easy enough to use the one from Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse). #GamePrep #CampaignPrep #DungeonMasterLife

[P] Welp. There's a number of D&D 5.5E pieces I'd swear are AI generated or heavily "assisted," it's been eating at my brain. I recently came across Decopy.ai which provides detailed, reasoned reports on whether a picture is AI or not. I ran a number of my partner's pieces through it (that I watched them create). 0% AI, cool. I liked how logical the breakdown was. The D&D pieces? All 83% and up, one was 97%. I bloody knew it.

I love the art, I enjoy how they handle monster spellcasting now (primarily using Int instead of Cha), I like the changes to naming conventions (bye-bye culturally-appropriative phylacteries, hello spirit jars), and I'm pleased by the concept changes in such beings as the genies (especially the dao and efreeti). Don't like that groups such as demons, devils, dragons and yugoloths...
