Main question I get at work is, what game is best for 2? Well, it depends, for me, #7Wonders Duel or #Splendor Duel, but wife & I are divided on which is better. #Photograph is a trick-taking title that we currently enjoy too. #Crokinole & #Backgammon are another staple, & a #52card deck. &, shameless plug, my game #Crowns will be entering the national #gamedesign contest next month, recommended by one of the largest #boardgame stores, & I already have a publisher waiting for design and print :D

also, today i finally got my hands on a good #Crokinole board through my job! apparently we don't normally sell them because it's too large to ship from the supplier and this was a return from two that had been ordered and sold before shipping issue had been noted. so i got really lucky on this one!
both kids were having a blast trying it out, and the wife too 😁 going to definitely bring it to the next #gamenight!

For the final month of 2024… every board game was played in the company of family and friends! A fitting way to end the year, and a lot of new experiences too, both for myself and my friends. Treated myself to a #crokinole board! With my birthday and Christmas both coming up, I thought ‘why not’; I've wanted one ever since watching the Shut Up & Sit Down review. Had to order an import directly from Tracey Boards in Canada due to a lack of stock in the UK (hopefully the import fees won't be too exorbitant.) Cannot wait to play on it and share a few pictures! 😁

Today I came again for the #PAX #Crokinole tourney and won twice! Advanced to round of 8 before losing to a nice gentleman with great flickering skills. Can’t believe I spent a great portion of my time at PAX on crokinole but that was absolutely worth it :awesome_rotate:

You know how they say "buy once cry once"?
Yeah, they're right.
The locally made board I picked up earlier has significant issues. Varnish drips on the playing surface, wooden pegs, a poorly-sealed ditch, and more. It's fun to play on, but now that I confirmed how much we enjoy Crokinole, I wanted the real deal.

@dbendit I was pretty amazed at how popular it is with my gaming group. Crokinole has such a wide appeal that even friends who I thought would have no interest love it.
One friend liked it so much he bought two boards off kickstarter and sold one of them to start the chain reaction all over again!
