Second full ass session running this massive skirmish at the start of the Iron Baron. We're now at the start of round six. 22 player characters plus pets, 56 enemies down. Just a handful left but there's still three fire giants at play.

*normally* this is a social encounter and *if* things go awry the multiple DMs split the enemies between tables. I'm running it all as one big encounter and we're loving it

I'm enjoying the structure of The Iron Baron. It's not as massive as Reclamation of Phlan, technically just four possible objectives, one for each party, with some encounters in between.

But they start and end the adventure all together in the same place. In a convention setting each table is running isolated fights 'on the same field' and can spill over to other tables. I can do that in our VTT as one massive battle #DnD #AdventurersLeague

Next week for #AdventurersLeague #DnD I'm adapting an epic, "The Iron Baron". In preliminary reading I discovered it's meant for a minimum of four tables while we've been running as two.

I don't know why I was anxious about bringing this discovery to the group like aw man oh jeez this means we need to create MORE characters.

Bitches love characters. They'll make characters for a one off joke. They have characters coming out their ears. Of course it'll be fine.

Today!

☕ up and at em for day off 1/2
🏡 some tidying around the house
📖 reading?
✊ joining the anti Data Centre protest and rally downtown
🎲 and running #AdventurersLeague #DnD tonight

Our current #AdventurersLeague #DnD episode has the party holed up with some Dwarves, pinned down by Ogres with Giants on the way. There's a daring escape on a silver platter for them involving a giant sarcophagus lid and an avalanche but they're having too much fun slaughtering ogres in waves.

It's my low effort DM night, I just let em have fun and they enjoy it, so all's good as far as I'm concerned!

Today!

Using this lovely graphic from the new Heroes of Faerun book as a prep page for #AdventurersLeague between seasons, threw down all our characters from the last several years in their respective factions. Got a crew currently in Ravenloft, and a handful non-decided as of yet. Most importantly, lookit all them Zhents!

It's exactly the type of thing I like to do with my free time, so more progress trackers for remaining #AdventurersLeague #DnD seasons. It'll take years before we get to this content of course

My players really appreciated my simple landing page for this season of #AdventurersLeague #DnD where they can see their progress through the modules. Put together something similar for next season

Tonight we'll likely blast through DDAL4-13 "The Horseman" in one sitting, and then one last adventure to finish the season. Looking forward to rolling up a whole new set of characters in a few weeks! #AdventurersLeague #DnD

Adventure text: while picking up the trail of the villain, it becomes apparant that a child is missing from the village!

The child in question: never mentioned again

Well then. #AdventurersLeague #DnD
