#Ravenloft: The Horrors Within beastiary is 151 pages of #DungeonsAndDragons monstery goodness. We chose 6 of those monsters we cannot wait to use to TPK our entire party or, if any of the Tavern Watch fam is reading this, to use judiciously and cautiously to up the stakes and provide an enriching narrative experience.

Riding pretty high on last night's next-to-no prep #Ravenloft #DnD session. Party's in Darkon, in the midst of days of travel between Il Aluk and Nevuchar Springs. They pass through the ruins of Karg and want to camp out there. They want to find out what happened to the town and suggest getting the Druid to speak with rats. Okay, so now we have rats.

The real question is whether or not this encyclopedia includes ALL lore from all eras and editions or just what is official at the moment. For example, what about Ravenloft for 2nd / 3rd edition? Its lore was extensive and fans will balk if it’s sanitized or retconned. #dndencyclopedia #dnd #ttrpg #ttrpgs #osr #ravenloft
