Making the #Wimodem232 work on an #Amiga 500 without a hard drive was a breeze. I booted a Workbench 1.3, then swapped to the A-Talk III disk which can run from floppy (installs fonts and stuff it needs on the Workbench disk).
Set baud rate to 300 and the modem is right there with the ATI command. Switching the baud rate up to 9600 works fine on the #A500. The WiFi connection can be configured with one command or even from a web UI the modem provides.

Here is another #Macintosh Classic II logic board revived. It did just a black screen and no chime. After a thorough cleaning and recapping, it works perfectly. I mostly used tantalum capacitors for this one. It’s easier to work with in tight spaces.
I’m short on ROMs though and they seem to be impossible to find. Need to order from an EPROM programming service or buy a burner and do it myself. #vintagemac #RetroComputing #recap #macintoshclassicII

These are two W.A.S.P. albums I wish had been released on vinyl. I believe Part II was issued on vinyl at one point, but not the first. It’s a shame, as they’re both really good. Maybe a Neon God box set featuring both someday?
