Until now the CV on my website (a PDF) was created and maintained simply in Pages. But it kinda sucked to have to make changes in Pages, export to PDF, use PDF Squeezer on it, commit it to my website's repo... It didn't use the same fonts, different colors, and keeping it in sync was a hassle.
From now on the source of truth is a Markdown file in my website, which gets rendered as a page on my site, plus as a downloadable PDF. One Markdown file to maintain, in my website, free from Apple's document format.
All handled by Saga, my static site generator (and weasyprint for the actual PDF generation).
I should probably write up an article with website details, how everything works. It's getting more and more interesting!

I added this update to my Eero/Ubiquiti post:
UPDATE, 2:32pm ET 10/26/26: The issue with Ubiquiti’s site was that its autocorrection of my address (adding “Township” after my town name) then made it reject my address. When I corrected that, Ubiquiti’s form changed my street’s suffix from “Ct.” to “CT,” which again failed to pass their validation. When I fixed that by hand, I was able to check out. I hope their web form validation isn’t a harbinger of their hardware quality.

I scanned the public IP of my home router - surprise, I have 2 ports open! My router decided to enable UPnP after a firmware update. And it turned out that Syncthing is not as LAN-only as I thought.
I fixed it, but I also thought about other problem. Let's call it a paradox of privacy: using Syncthing instead of OneDrive or GDrive keeps my personal files to myself, but also makes my devices easier to fingerprint.

Just got the fantastic news that my step-mom is officially in remission from fucking pancreatic cancer just under a year after being diagnosed!!!!!!!!
She is still going through some recovery because 10 months of chemo with a Whipple procedure is no fucking joke and we hoped for this outcome but hope can be a bitch sometimes.
