  1. @kevinrenskers This is one of my favourite moments in cinema 🎬. I think it captures some important lessons about the human condition 🍿

  2. @rootwyrm @nixCraft @reddy_1975 @kevinrenskers

Does anyone think that somehow, someway, that magically the #TechSector and #OpenSource would be spared of this #fascist horseshit?

It's one more teeny hook to latch onto and break wide open. They _want_ stupid subservience, and they see the ripeness and naivete in this community and will rape and pillage to their hearts content if they aren't stopped at the onset. They vehemently #hate intelligence and will burn this village down.

  3. RE: hachyderm.io/@kevinrenskers/11

#queerfeindlichkeit

  4. Interesting read on why async might not be the best idea, even though I oppositely find it being a major benefit of moving to Django from PHP-FPM based web tooling.

I think async views suit SSE and front-end tooling like nicely, though they are not something to blindly use for everything.

  5. #Coolify is super cool, but like.. they're at 4.0.0-beta.468 now. Maybe time to release v4?

  6. New article: "Self-hosting Plausible broke my analytics"

After years on #PlausibleAnalytics I switched to self-hosting and sadly, I’m not exactly happy with the result.

  7. After I switched from Plausible Cloud to a self-hosted instance I noticed a LOT of bot traffic in my stats, which didn't use to be there before.

Look at the screenshot and guess when I switched to self-hosting Plausible...

Turns out that #PlausibleAnalytics only gives you basic bot filters on the open source version, you need to pay for the cloud version to get the "advanced" filtering.

That's super disappointing. Is that really how you want me to force to pay €290 per year?

It’s fine to lock some pro features to the cloud version, but this seems like a basic requirement for analytics software?

  8. Trying out umami.is, self-hosted with #Coolify of course. I've been using #Plausible for quite a while now, generally quite happy with it, but I want to self-host and self-hosting Plausible means loosing access to some features.

First impression of #Umami is very good, it has some really nice analytics like Journeys and Sessions. But why oh why doesn't it offer a way to import data? :(

  13. I was taking care of someone’s dog today and holy shit the poor animal was shaking all day long from the fireworks. I myself don’t like the fireworks either but the dog was out of her mind scared and I felt so bad for her :(

Why the hell do we do this to our best friends? #banfireworks
