I don't need AI for anything I do. I never use AI in any creative endeavor. Therefore, I request a setting to eliminate all AI models, AI features in macOS Golden Gate and beyond. I think it is unlikely that I will ever upgrade to Golden Gate unless opting out, including the recovery of disk space, is presented by Apple and committed to by Apple. #goldengate #macOS #Apple #feedback

The "Ask Siri" on every context menu is a little annoying, and there's no way to remove it without totally disabling Siri.
Slowly getting used to it, but would prefer it gone. -

One of the best changes with MacOS 27 Golden Gate is that the Contacts app now *actually works*. It's was a buggy mess in Tahoe, where clicking a contact would enable edit mode randomly. It would also randomly flash / be unclickable as it was updating a contact on front of you.
Honestly it was an embarrassing bit of software, that's now usable. -

I can't believe this but the ancient bug with "Smart" mailboxes is back. I have a trivial one for Unread messages, which worked fine in Sequoia, but doesn't work at all in macOS Golden Gate. Even though there are unread messages, it shows nothing.
I edited the rule changing and restoring everything but that didn't help. I had to relaunch Mail.

Found another difference between macOS Sequoia and macOS Golden Gate. A Python script was triggered last night by an Internet outage while the screen was locked. It tried to use AppleScript to update a Numbers spreadsheet but it timed out (worked fine in Sequoia). I presume because Apple continues to lock down our computers to protect us from the Boogieman and so we can't use them the way we want.
This is probably relevant: https://support.bombich.com/hc/en-us/articles/43296127799959-Some-files-can-t-be-opened-when-the-screen-is-locked

The main unexpected pain point:
I've used "control-up" and "control-down" for display brightness for ages, and Golden Gate doesn't even acknowledge that so far.
Never too soon for feedback. ^ ^
