Today I went to the sandbank near Kootwijk. There was a viewing tower that was quite high above ground and I decided to paint from up there. I actually have some fear of heights so this was pretty nerve wracking. Also had to paint with the panel in the shadow all the time so the colours came put a bit funky. But i got it done and I was facing my fears at least.

C'est ce qu'on appelle « peindre dans le frais », c'est-à-dire appliquer une couleur différente dans une peinture pas encore sèche. C'est assez facile avec la peinture à l'huile qui met du temps à sécher, plus dur à l'acrylique (comme pour cette peinture-ci) qui sèche plus vite que son ombre. Il faut donc peindre plus vite que l'ombre de l'acrylique. Vous me suivez ?
