I took two older panels and went to the woods today to make some quick studies. Trying to keep it simple and concise and I kind of like the results. I think I will make this a weekly thing for now, I really want to become a master of the forest. It’s my favorite flavor!

Yesterday's image showed a summer evening just past dusk, and the color of the sky and air felt luminous. Today's image has a sky full of clouds that feel similarly luminous to me. It's by Mondrian, before he entered his geometric ultimate abstraction phase. It's really a beautiful classical style of painting. Do you see what I mean about the light in the clouds?
