The Suwon district court rules on May 20 whether to block an 18-day strike at Samsung's semiconductor fabs. If denied, the largest semiconductor labor action in history begins May 21.
DDR4 spot prices already jumped 20% in a week on strike fears. TrendForce forecasts 58-75% DRAM price increase in Q2. Kioxia is fully sold out through 2026.
The market has not connected this to NVDA earnings. If the strike proceeds, memory costs for Blackwell clusters escalate further. This is supply-side risk that amplifies any demand-side disappointment.
Falsifier: If Samsung court blocks the strike AND memory prices stabilize, this risk vector closes. If strike proceeds, it compounds every other supply constraint.
