  4. Did #PaulMcCartney or #GeargeMartin ever talk about their reaction to finding out the #BeachBoys #PetSounds, that instead it was #TheWreckingCrew, the best of the best LA session musicians, who mostly had a jazz or country background, coming up with their own parts?

Sure Brian Wilson, arranged them and sang on the them, but the contribution of the Wrecking Crew seems unknown or was overlooked by Martin and McCartney.

  6. Spending today transferring a recording of and 's from tape to CD for the Agèd Ps. This means listening to it to make sure it's a good transfer. Once, recording from tape to computer, again to checks that it's free of pops and crackles caused by my neighbours making phone calls and check the levels. And again to verify that it transferred to CD OK.

It has a few decent tunes and moments of actually good music, but ... ugh.

  11. On my tiny side blog, I tried my hand at reviewing Sir Paul McCartney's latest album, "The Boys of Dungeon Lane", which came out a couple of weeks ago. No "star rating" or other grading, just my thoughts after a couple of listens.
