    I could have posted a beautiful golden sandy beach or a bustling port we are camped next to, but they were only half as interesting as these others nearby.
    Cliffs and cabbage trees. A Monument and some very large water tanks.
    Man and nature do some odd things.
    The monument is to commemorate Able Tasman landing briefly here in 1642. We could have been Dutch if he didn't find the place too inhospitable and high tailed it back home.
    Just as well, because I can't speak a word in their language -:)

    @ChaskaTheMagicDog once there was a World of Darkness LARP going on in Rio in Brazil. A meeting between werewolves and vampires during a truce in a fancy manor house.

    There were some odd people dressed in white track suits going around not interacting with any of the players. All questions to referrals were answered with "oh no, you're not seeing that. There is nothing there."

    Unberknownst to all the werewolves and vampire players, there was a wraith LARP going around as well.

    - Very small user base in the languages I can read/understand
    - No stream of journal entries like Logseq
    - Almost too many icons? Too many separate menu items?
    - Some odd UX choices (esp media embeds), and jumpy popups when hovering to the left of blocks
    - I kind of miss being able to go into edit mode by selecting a block in Logseq. This app is very much WYSIWYG

    If you've ever wanted to know why electrons behave in some odd ways, it's because they don't have "spin" like a basketball, they are spin*ors*.

    This video doesn't feel long so I recommend watching it in one go. It has fun lines like "A wiggle is homotopic to an octopus" 🐙

    There's a new way to liberate purchased Kindle books from Amazon's DRM.

    A few points to note:

    * Hardcoded to the .com store, but trivial to change to .co.uk
    * Uses OCR - so some odd / annoying mistakes - especially around punctuation.
    * Every line is wrapped in a `<p>` element - which breaks reflow.

    But, other than that, remarkably capable. Once you've got your session token, it only takes a couple of minutes to get an ePub.

    For any folks looking to experiment with a more #PlantBased diet (or simply reduce consumption of high-carbon industrial factory farmed meat) in the new year… I lived on Morning Star corn dogs for my first few months of vegetarianism 13 some odd years ago.

    The fact that they were one of the first vegetarian products, and they still make ‘em today is a testament to their “craveability.” Still a rare guilty pleasure for me.

    Haastateltavana mm. amisope, joka kertoi, että monilla nuorilla on puutteelliset #työelämätaidot, koska kesätöitä ei enää nykyään ole yläasteikäisille juuri tarjolla.
