I could have posted a beautiful golden sandy beach or a bustling port we are camped next to, but they were only half as interesting as these others nearby.
Cliffs and cabbage trees. A Monument and some very large water tanks.
Man and nature do some odd things.
The monument is to commemorate Able Tasman landing briefly here in 1642. We could have been Dutch if he didn't find the place too inhospitable and high tailed it back home.
Just as well, because I can't speak a word in their language -:)

Apparently it's #BueMonday today so here is something blue that may not be depressing. As I have mentioned before, in 2020 we found ourselves in #GoldenBay #NewZealand just as the country went into strict lockdown. Confined to the immediate locality I needed something to sketch. The very creative mail boxes in the neighbourhood were ideal!
