While laborious, this kind of work is incredibly useful for species that are so short-lived and often have multiple cohorts, sometimes it is the only way to be truly sure which individuals come from which cohort. I found this to be the case with Illex argentinus, as there is lot of mixing on the high seas, it was nearly impossible to figure out which groups were sampled, until we did the ageing, all 809 of them! #fisheries #sclerochronology #management

@Fisher_DanaR @DoctorVive We got #fracked by #Obama Both sides of the aisle got us to this point. So after a 40 year fight, I decided it was time to protect myself. I could see the climate impacts unfolding in my work as a field scientist. So we moved to the Great Lakes in '18 as part of our climate action plan, and I now deploy for a mj charity that helps the victims. There's not much more I can do now, except helping others instead of watching it on TV.

Lately I've taken a liking to #Fisher #SpacePen refills for #pens and found a few interesting hosts for them, but still have not found one that is good to carry in a pants pocket and convenient to use.
The clicky style trigger too easy so are not suitable for a pocket, the bolt action is secure but too big, and though the bullet style is compact and easily pocketable, there is a real chance of losing part of it since it separates into two pieces. I hate the twist style so they are non-starters.
