    Later, this folio formed part of a #Qajar Album but got dispersed at a #Paris sale in 1982.

    This 17th century #MughalArt #IndianMiniaturePainting by artist Payag is on the forthcoming Sotheby's sale of 25th October, 2023, estimated price £30,000-35,000.

    Payag, who was active from 1591 to 1658 CE, was the brother of the celebrated artist Balchand and worked in the royal ateliers of the #Mughal rulers #Akbar, rebel Prince Salim (at #Allahabad #India) who later became Emperor Jahangir and, Emperor #ShahJahan.
