The most exciting moment of Open Source Summit 2024 last month for me wasn't when I went on stage.
It was at the very first minutes of the conference, during the opening keynote,
when I saw my humble blog post "When Your Open Source Turns to the Dark Side" featured 🤩It was surreal to see my personal blog quoted alongside The New York Times, WIRED and the European Commission's Joinup magazine 😍

Elastic's title got me so excited.
Then I read the fine print.
No, Elasticsearch isn't going back to the original Apache2 license.
Instead it's adding AGPL copyleft license (on top of the non-FOSS ones).

Apropos #Redis #relicensing Microsoft released a new #opensource remote cache-store named #Garnet.
Among other benefits, it supports a large fraction of the Redis API surface, and you can use it from unmodified Redis clients (as it uses the RESP wire protocol).
