Well, #1348ExVoto proves that having the best vocal actor around ( #JenniferEnglish ) cannot save a below average game.
It looks and plays like an unfinished game. Seems someone run with the money, or literally was in development hell.
Even for $25 it looks steep for a 3/10 game. If you want a medieval adventure, look at #KCD, #Hellblade (the first one), A Plague Tale, or even Thymesia.

The game does not romanticize the war and I like it. Yeah, the interface for fighting multiple enemies is horrible, on the other side - you are not winning a sword fight against multiple armed foes.

In general, I feel like sword fighting got a bit worse from design perspective. After introducing Riposte the fencing just broke. All combos become redundant, as it’s either you do Riposte, or eventually some will.

This game has a lot of quality humor. I sincerely laughed, when you can make the wasted Henry sing along with a cuman, the song in a different language and so he just trying to find the words that sound similar. Voice acting is brilliant

In KCD1 it was easy - left button to draw sword, right button to draw bow (on PS). In KCD2 - you need to scroll through the list of your weapons and press x or wait to draw. And when the duel start you can get your ass kicked before you even draw a weapon because of it.
And sometimes the first time you try to parry - it’s not working.
And sometimes while the events draws your attacks don’t count and he kills you without stamina.
My eye is twitching.

This game drives me crazy. It was always hard for the sake of realism, and while kcd2 added a lot of visual indicators, and simplified things here and there, somehow many things feels even worse. And also it’s the worst menu UX ever
