My grandparents & parents all loved music of differing types. My grandmother would often hum or sing a show-tune. My grandfather would sometimes join in. One of the songs they would jointly sing was “Goodnight, Vienna” from the eponymous 1932 British #film-#musical starring & originally sung by Jack Buchanan. Personally I am not so keen on his singing. However, I have opted for a rendition by #DebroySomers, a British big-band leader. Hope you enjoy #GoodnightVienna…

For those not in the know (almost everyone outside the #francophone world), this is an image of the French actor #AntoineDuléry in a scene from one of the #LesPetitsMeurtresdAgathaChristie (« Les Petits Meurtres d'Agatha Christie »). My spoken French is not sufficiently good to follow in the original tongue; instead, I read the Spanish subtitles. Lummy, he is a sexy-looking chap!

@LisaAnn Only to other #racists #bigots ! I reside on a predominantly #MiddleClass #HousingEstate. The expensive executive homes are interspersed with #AffordableHousing. The design was mixed from the very beginning. Everyone’s kids play together on the green open-spaces. The estate holds events open to all, no matter income or status. Our house-prices have only briefly stopped rising but never fallen. Houses are snapped up fast when put up for sale, because we are seen as a desirable location.

My first slumber in more than three weeks rated as ‘good’ by #Fitbit. The only issue is that I was awake much of the night - admittedly not doing anything - with acute #sinusitis and thus in total agony! Something is defo not quite right with their #algorithm!
