The #UnitedNations is not ignoring the treatment of #Disabled folk in UK. On 7.7.25 they sent a letter to #UKGov reminding the government of previous and ongoing serious failings to ensure #DisabilityRights and to protect people with #disabilities.
The link is to a downloadable document replete with quotations from previous communications with UKGov highlighting their heinous breaches of #UNCRPD.

@foulger I have awful #photophobia. Only discovered a few weeks ago, that I am more at risk than most folk due to my extra-large pupils. Who knew!

It is so dark outside today, I have been able to raise my blind a tad and do not need to wear sunglasses indoors - my usual way of dealing with the blind up! #photophobia #pwME

@mister_goldfish I am on the second-floor. There is quite a pretty view of our garden and my neighbourss’, but with the #photophobia I mostly have to keep the blind down to reduce lighting levels. I envy you both being able to regard #nature through your window. I bet that is rather calming and perhaps occasionally exciting!

Well it’s Friday again and my clubbing years are far behind me. Tonight I am sharing a song that I suspect, unless one actually knows, is difficult to date. This is timeless #camp: dance meets #religion. One of the band-members is #Jewish, another #Zoroastrian, and the the third sings #Gospel like an angel. I am really rather surprised at how well this did in “Christian” USA. I play this regularly for, as a #pwME, I feel crucified on my malady…

Wow, a #Hallmark #ChristmasMovie that is not a rom-com, more a family drama. Admittedly I laughed aloud on several occasions. Superb writing, editing, acting and all tied together by Daisy (hope that is not a spoiler!) I shall watch this film any season it is shown. If in the UK, it is currently available to stream on #My5. #ChristmasFilms

I am still ploughing through #My5 ‘s streaming #ChristmasFilm s. By accident I came across a link to “ #MrsMiracle ” (2009). If you havenæ previously seen this #ChristmasMovie, you are in for a treat. The acting from the two romantic leads, namely #ErinKarpluk (also good in “The Christmas Lodge” (2011)) & #JamesVanDerBeek is really good. Whilst this is Angst-light there is still plenty of light drama and cutesiness too from the wee twins. Defo recommended!

Well the UK #ChristmasMovie channel may be closed until the 2023/4 season, but one can still catch a #ChristmasFilm on #My5 until some time in February. Today, in about two dozen parts, I watched “Christmas Bells Are Ringing” (2018). Slow visuals, only a handful of characters, defo plot-lite & plenty of feels - great for someone who cannæ concentrate nor view for very long! I should opt to watch again. 😉
