#Zoroastrian #Avestas twist the #Vedic #Scripture backwards, like #Satanic & #Luciferian #Bibles do to other #Abrahamic traditions.

#Demon #Asuras become the great Ahura Mazda.

#Devi loses its #cognate relationship with #godlike #Deus & converges linguistically with #devil, #Diavolo, a #slanderer.

The final act of Return of the Ripper is a kind of #heroquest across a #mythical desert #demiplane to reach the Tomb of the Sea Queen.

I am drawing on #Zoroastrian and #Persian #myths to populate the demiplane. I was delighted to find this amazing and useful site "1001 Mythical Creatures of #Iranian Cultures and Beyond". Worth taking a look just for the beautiful #illustrations.

In the remote Isalo Massif in southern Madagascar, at a site called Teniky, researchers have uncovered a unique rock-cut architectural complex with no known parallels on the island or the nearby East African coast. This discovery has prompted speculation about possible links to ancient Zoroastrian communities and long-distance migration and trade networks.

☫ Many words we use today have roots in #Persian. Here's a list of Persian-origin words that have woven their way into #English

Starting with Magic - Derived from #OldPersian 'maguš'. The mystical and religious connotations of this word are linked to Iranian #Zoroastrian priests

Pistachio - From #Persian 'pistah', a type of nut. Nut names often have ancient roots. #Iran is also currently the second largest pistachio ... ⤵

@thecrushedviolet "Yogurt & Whey: Recipes of an Iranian Immigrant Life" by Homa Dashtaki is a cookbook rather than an autobiography, but the author shares some of her experiences in her birth country, being an immigrant to the US, and being a yogurt entrepreneur. You might find it interesting. Also, there's a really great spinach boorani recipe in it that I've added to my regular rotation.

In pre-#Zoroastrian times, the people of what is now Iran used a calendar of 360 days divided into 30 months; the #ṚgVeda mentions a calendar with the same strucutre used in the Indus Valley, but doesn't provide any solid details, and the description might just be poetic.

Given that most Christians apparently thought:

* Gods Control instead of DeNote.
* Avatars didn't Exist nor they Control.
* "Jesus" is a Name or Noun when it's a verb: an Ancient Greek Blessing.

I think #Christianity should be Deprecated.

And given the FACTS that:
* "YHWH" is Jewish for "a God", even if there's longstanding pretense of a Single God.
* All of written Avatar History is available in Sanskrit.

I think we're OverDue for a #ZoroAstrian #ReFormation

Today is #Navroz2023 #PersianNewYear an ancient non #Islamic #Festival still celebrated in #Iran with fervor.

As most of the followers of #Zoroastrian #Religion live in #Mumbai #Bombay #India it is also celebrated here with a public #Holiday to enable #Parsees (as they are known here) to celebrate the #Festival

Well it’s Friday again and my clubbing years are far behind me. Tonight I am sharing a song that I suspect, unless one actually knows, is difficult to date. This is timeless #camp: dance meets #religion. One of the band-members is #Jewish, another #Zoroastrian, and the the third sings #Gospel like an angel. I am really rather surprised at how well this did in “Christian” USA. I play this regularly for, as a #pwME, I feel crucified on my malady…

This is a short but fascinating read: The Macabre Legacy of Bombay's Sky Burial Towers. You'll learn about Zoroastrian burial practices and what happens when the vulture population suddenly declines sharply.
