  1. If you're talking anti-Big Tech, you're talking Small Tech!

    Lightning Talk mentioning @aral & @laura

  2. CW: nerdy request regarding csgo

Today, showed the world a new nerdy Dust2 hinge smoke from pit.

This made me look for the original clip (with the caster's reaction!) of his hinge smoke from T spawn, about a year ago? Maybe two?

But for the life of me, I can't find it. Not on YT, not on twitch, not on reddit…

A link to any walled garden will do, I will ytdl it so I can't lose it again! Hoping you have better searching skills than I do 🙏 thx!

  3. adds keys.openpgp.org 🥳

github.com/mailvelope/mailvelo (completely forgot I asked for a update on this two years ago)

  4. @aral I regularly look with amazement at all you do with the so I completely understand the trouble of finding time!

  5. says my winner font is Fira Code! Have used it extensively for years, switched a couple of years ago, maybe I should revisit.

  6. You beautiful geniuses who recommended me shoes!

Got to try a pair today on a short walk in the countryside and dayum, all the clichés were true.

    Feels like wearing socks? ✅
    Barely notice wearing shoes? ✅
Can actually feel every little stone? ✅

    I have been converted.

  7. My mind was simply blown at every detail of the layout. This might be what I am looking for. Currently programming it for my

    github.com/manna-harbour/qmk_f

  8. @sotolf @dyamon hey there, thanks for the summoning 🙂

Happy to see you found my project. is a partial replacement for the now largely abandoned .

They had a great idea (identity) but because of they had to build additional services (storage, social network, git) in order to get an out.

Keyoxide does one thing and does it well. And, of course, in a fully open source manner. Decentralized, open standards and no blockchains.

  9. Well, nearly nearly done with the move to a different country. Still setting stuff up. Expect more changes/upgrades.

    ✅ Dual monitor
    ✅ Rode Procaster microphone
    ✅ Anne Pro 2 w/ COLEMAK
    ✅ Very empty desk/room/wall (still)

  10. Releasing a new today 😉

    It really is 'duhm'

    Downgrade/Upgrade Hetzner Machines codeberg.org/yarmo/duhm

Useful CLI when you have an @owncast instance and want to boost your VPS when you stream! When you're done, just downgrade to the regular tier.

That's my use-case. I'm sure there are other reasons to quickly upgrade/downgrade VPS machines.

    Written in plain bash.

  11. Great first few minutes of this brazilian TV series

Privacy invasion and drone cameras everywhere… curious to see how this series tackles the implications

  12. Planning on testing my website load performance on vs on a droplet.

: simple php app, hosted on DO droplet
: DO droplet, caddyfile simply transfers to php-rpm docker container

1/ any predictions which will be faster?
2/ most objective way of measuring?

  13. provides an easy-to-use interface to send PGP-encrypted emails with the email service you are familiar with. If secure IMs are not an option, this is the next best thing for less tech-savvy people.

I wrote a short introduction note.

  14. Using influxdb/grafana and want to monitor your plex using that? Today, I found out about

    yarmo.eu/blog/varken

  15. Postal service: "Your package was not delivered, we tried and could not reach you!"

And where exactly do you think I've been all day?

  16. @reds that's def not stock, screw them

  17. I want to love but the process is just too slow and I can't figure out if it can be sped up. I just want to write `buku somesite` and just directly open the best match. Now, you first see a list, type in the number of the match and press enter. The website opens, but to you're not done 'cause buku is still open. Go back to terminal and hit enter twice to go out of the TUI. Too much work. Useful for looking for similar articles, but I need a sped up workflow for day to day bookmarks

  18. How do you use ssh-agent? I'm still trying to find a decent solution

  19. We need to talk licenses. Recently discovered through the project (big fan). I'm quite ideological but I really dig the pragmatism behind this license. The code is still , accessible and extendible. That's what I want from a product I need to trust. If the owner wants my contributions but doesn't want me making money from it… I understand that! Yet I read a lot of criticism about this license.

    What am I not seeing?

  20. Does scale?

Say I were to start a mastodon instance alongside some other service, pixelfed for instance. Say aspirations were to have thousands of users. Would it be wise to have yunohost on a VPS and let it handle the services and backups? Would it scale to so many users?

I think it's a dumb question, as I suspect yunohost is only about management, the apps themselves need to scale… But not sure about this!

  21. I still miss my app every day. I paid for it and would pay again, double if needed, if only the app would allow paid features on

  22. Suspicions confirmed: has new bugs (HN API changed?) since 2 days and the app is no longer maintained… Wish I could just stay at home tomorrow and fork…

  23. @jordan31 @DistroJunkie for non-tech: Fletch Vaughan and Megan! radio show from New Zealand, very fun!

And My Dad Wrote A Porno 😃

  24. @neildarlow that sounds like sound advice. Not many platforms get a reboot to "do it better". I believe it would be beneficial to the platform and its adoption and longevity to "get it right from the beginning". Phrasing suggests it's the platform's task, but what I really mean is, the community needs guidelines and principles to stop toxicity in its roots (I'm a hopeless idealist). Federation is the first tool, absolute local authority over what is permitted and what is not.
