It's been roughly a year since I got the keys for my workspace in #Carmarthen and I'm still so chuffed I could make it happen.
It's a sunshine yellow workshop filled with my quirks, happy music, weird podcasts, bespoke tools, and other things I deem essential (like a coffee maker and a napping area).
Shaping your own workspace is magical, y'all.

Well, nearly nearly done with the move to a different country. Still setting stuff up. Expect more changes/upgrades.

Just hung up the clutch disk mandala, completing my desk setup!
Dell Precision T3600 rocks an AMD R7 360 and is the resident gaming machine in the apartment. X1 Carbon first gen is my workhorse.
Scored the desk at goodwill for $20 and my preferred seat is a 14" buckwheat fill zafu. (no more edits I promise!)

- Not raisable desk unfortunately, it's a custom dual desk made from Ikea parts we had. My wife's desk is on the right half. -
I applied some free time to “the nook” over the break. I’m no longer wedged between boxes! Next up cable management and a chair (currently borrowing this one from the dining room). #ShowYourWorkspace

https://mastodon.social/media/3HygAPNWLPbVhYf_oOMReally glad I picked up those monitor stands with VESA mount along with the 24" monitor when an office offered them for free about a year ago, even though one of the monitors turned out to have a rather faded screen with glitches, and this one could be brighter too. Worth it for being able to rotate it though!

I should find something to lift my second screen up a bit higher though, because in the landscape configuration the taskbar is kinda obscured by the laptop screen.Pictured here is the portrait-mode #BattleStation configuration:

my server and my nas
I am starting to think that this kind of computer architecture really needs to be minimalthe message of the server, (formerly flash gordon's magazine rack) got awful busy missing the industrial point of being a machine
and the nas tower, called wind farm, started to look like the chopped off five-disk-slot e-machine I pulled from the dumpster (ideal raid number)
wind farm is a tribute to wind and will have 5 fans & 5 disks & pine64+
