  1. I had to disable the app of from the Google Play Store.
Google wouldn't ship any updates to Cofi if I didn't implement Ongoing Activity into the wearOS app, even after disabling all of the code related to the notifications and working in the background.
I don't have time right now to rewrite notifications and timer handling to include Ongoing Activity, and I needed to unblock Android app updates so that I could ship all the new features that I implemented since the last update.

  2. I'm having a lot of fun playing with Compose multiplatform. It looks like the fastest way to build an app for Android, Web, and Desktop all at once. Sure, it isn't as mature as + but it does require a lot less effort/boilerplate to start building the app.
I need to check out what the iOS side looks like.

I'm not sure I like that web version is compiled into

  3. Cool and all, but with requirements to pay Apple "technology fee" it still sucks for apps.
I would be open to try and port to , but I don't want to pay anything for distributing the app on my own.

  4. I would very much like to release a new version of , but issues with , and being blocked by Google for "not having WearOS" in full description hold me back.

I have a significant number of users on the Play Store, so I don't want to abandon them on the old app version.

is a simple, but pretty and easy to use, coffee timer built specifically for alternative coffee brewing (mostly via drip)
It also has a version on WearOS, is open source, and uses all the newest APIs and technologies (at least tries to)
You can get it on the Play Store play.google.com/store/apps/det
    Or F-Droid f-droid.org/packages/com.omela

  6. @spacecowboy aren't Github Actions runners free for public repositories?
You can use macOS runners to get hardware acceleration. That's what I do in

  7. Amazing, my lack of time worked out in my favor.
I was about to start seriously working on adding support to and I think my work just got a lot easier

  8. I found a great deal on a used and decided to pull the trigger. My last was a 1st gen
Let's see if after all those years matured enough for me to take it seriously.
As a bonus, now I have a physical device to test on! I've already notice few things that I should fix, that I didn't see testing on the emulator.

  9. We at released another part of our code as

  10. TFW You need to trim your changelog to be under 500 chars or you wouldn't be able to release the app on the

1.19.0 if gonna be one of my favorite releases

  11. is getting two new default recipes, improved multiplier setting on , recipe description on and lot's of small improvements. Only question is when 😅

  12. Some time ago I created a MacroPad as a gift for my coworkers at github.com/rozPierog/NozbePad

Turns out there are some unintended consequences to that. Welcome to the age of "Leon Omelan Device"

  13. @codeinabox @nick_tune thanks for the shout out. James is an amazing educator and the reason why I got into coffee as much as I did (and the rabbit hole is just keep getting deeper and deeper)

contains some of the recipes from his channel thanks to him being generous enough to allow me to do so

  14. My last hurrah, a set of promotion posts on before it goes down, gave me a boost that I needed.

So long reddit, and thanks for all the fish!

  15. So close to two important milestones for
200⭐️ on and 1k active devices on

I hope that the next update (github.com/rozPierog/Cofi/blob), that will hopefully contain this PR with a new default recipe github.com/rozPierog/Cofi/pull, will give it a boost to crush both those numbers

Also of note, I got my first ever recurring sponsor on so that's something to celebrate! 🥳

  16. One of the users of pushed me to finally finish setting up translation website.
Editing XML files is just too much for most people.
I've picked @weblate as it seems the best, out of the box, solution for apps. hosted.weblate.org/engage/cofi/

Now I just need to 🤞 that my request for billing will be approved without any issues

    - Next step will now show beneath the timer, to get you ready for what comes next
    - Added update info with a link to changelog
    - Support dialog that shows up after you used a recipe 2 times
    - updated design of the bottom sheets

  18. just crossed 100⭐ on
When I started out I was building a tool just for myself, but thanks to the power of I've made an app that helps hundreds of people, everyday.

I've learned a lot about (and overall ), of builds, how to handle projects, and how to fund them.

So here is to the 100 more ☕
