What is a good person? Nor do I feel I am qualified to answer fully. I don't really know but I know the common answers are often rooted in prosperity doctrine. But honestly I don't feel like I'm that bad but I do confuse some people.

I'm patient, kind, forgiving, generous and reflective on my own failures. I believe firmly in equality, egalitarianism, mutual respect and mutual aid. I make people feel safe. I believe we should all strive to be better than we were today.

And the vast majority of people will go yeah no she's pretty great but then I turn around and scare people because I'm everything your mommy and your church warned you about. I've been in the middle of threesomes. I am queer. I have committed acts of rather uncapitalist nature. I enjoy the devil's leaf and don't mind if it's paired with a little tobacco.

And it gets worse. I was an alcoholic. That means I still am because when I get real low, I still have to find energy not to relapse. I already have once. And I was not some kind of good functioning angelic alcoholic because you like me and judge me good. I wasn't kind. I was a problem, a liar, and there are certainly times I drove when I should not have. And it was luck, not goodie tooshoes points, that kept everyone alive.

I not only interact with but have dated criminals. I happen to know how meth feels after getting a second hand high from necking with my boyfriend. I probably know more criminals and addicts than anyone you know.

I make people comfortable but I can also make the rather puritanical sort uncomfortable. I've worked at two food banks, put in hours of charity, organized and been an activist since I was 14 years old but I'm also everything the church and prosperity doctrine tells you to hate.

I truly believe there's a point to the church and purity culture telling you to avoid the poor, the addicts, the sex workers. The filthy and the downtrod. How else can you sell moral superiority to liberals and condescenion to christians without actively denegrating the message of equity and equality? The message of poverty is the message of every religion but still it's actively denegrated by every major religious institution.

The thing is I have been known to make even leftist trans women uncomfortable with my not too squeaky clean past but I'm a blast at parties. But honestly why go by the name Lilth, mother of demons, seductress of dreamers and Gabriel and then turn around and think your boring life, looking down on people like me makes you better than me?

Do I know what a good person is, no. But I do know there is an active effort to make people like me wearing the spikes, plaid and black, organizing for the addicts and the proletariat look bad and criminal. I don't think we should be defining people by their pasts or goodness by a shit idealogy of christofascist that led to things like Lebensraum and manifest destiny either and yes I see this in liberals and leftists as well. Including the atheists.

I dunno. Maybe goodness is more than abstinence and most of the talk about morality is just shitty christofascism.

China's Foreign Policy might be the most reasonable way in history for a peripheral economy to become a global superpower:

"China’s flagship overseas infrastructure finance programme the Belt and Road Initiative increased by three-quarters to a record $213.5bn in 2025 as Beijing sought to take advantage of wavering US influence around the world by pouring funding into development projects.

The surge in new investment and construction deals was dominated by gas megaprojects and green power, according to research by Australia’s Griffith University and the Green Finance & Development Center in Shanghai. Beijing signed 350 deals last year, up from 293 worth $122.6bn in 2024.

The boom in investment comes as tensions between the US and China over trade and technology disrupt supply chains and President Donald Trump’s military interventions roil global energy markets.

Christoph Nedopil Wang, a China energy and finance expert at Griffith University and the study’s author, predicted that Beijing’s spending on the BRI would grow further this year, driven by investments in energy, mining and new technology.

“Global trade and investment volatility will potentially spur further investment for supply chain resilience and alternative export markets for Chinese companies,” he said.

The BRI, launched months after Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, is the Chinese leader’s hallmark foreign development programme, seeking to deepen Beijing’s economic influence and trade ties with the developing world. It has made China the world’s largest bilateral creditor, with 150 countries as BRI partners.

Last year’s figures brought the total cumulative value of BRI contracts and investments since its launch to $1.4tn, the study found.
