Really enjoyed Patrik Eklund's #TheConference.

Although it was a pretty straightforward plot, the characters didn't follow the usual patterns and I like that.

There's one scene towards the end that I was still laughing about when I woke up the next morning.

Just finished enjoying Swedish #horror The Conference on Netflix - cabin-in-the-woods style survivor slasher with some good gags and a good pace. More gore than scares, but earns the ending and worth a watch!
#TheConference #Konferensen

The Conference is a new Swedish horror flick in which some employees go for a team building exercise, Then killer starts killing the team and the crew! Sort af a campy 80's feel to it and seems to pay homage to those films. But I enjoyed it and it is definitely worth the watch!

Netflix posted this SPOILER shot from The Conference on their instagram so I figured I could post my storyboard of the same thing. But don't look at it until you have watched the film.

Its also a bloody shot so if you don't like blood these images (or the film, honestly) is not for you. ❤️🩸

Konferensen
2023

A team-building event at a Swedish lake: a new shopping center is opening soon, but there are disagreements within the team. According to the horror narrative, the seclusion is naturally an invitation to let a bad-tempered killer run around.

The Conference (that I storyboarded) is now on Netflix!

Aftonbladet: ”Maybe the best Swedish horror film ever"

DN: ”A mix of Lars Molin & Scream”

Sveriges Radio: ”It is gory, fun and full speed"

Moviezine: "Brutally entertaining"

and

SVD: ”Why should anybody watch this film?”

Feels like 2023 have been a pretty good horror year for me.

I had made a poster that was seen in Evil Dead Rise, storyboarded The Roots of Evil and on Friday the 13th Netflix releases The Conference that I storyboarded.

And I have worked on a couple more...

NOT a fan of film critic Jan-Olov Andersson or the newspaper Aftonbladet but when they say that "The Conference" (that I storyboarded) is "maybe the best Swedish horror film ever" I have to share.
