This morning was about prepping because my home help will be on holiday for a week.
She deserves holidays, she deserves paid holidays.
But my disability payments don't even cover her to come for 3 days a week although my assesment by DWP states I need help every day. I pay the extra for those 3 days from my pension. It certainly won't cover me getting temp help.

So we cooked cake, she prepped veg to be portioned and put in the freezer, and I also have 5 meals in there from last week's cooking session.
And I have bamboo cutlery plus paper bowls and plates.

Now I'm exhausted even though she did most of the work.

(I can buy low carb cake and ready meals, but apart from being very expensive they usually aren't so good - both taste and ultra produced chemicals.)

Finally did the consultation for the government's pathways to work paper.

Whilst there are some good ideas in it, the assumptions in it about the reality for disabled people and the ability to look for work are not based in reality and are offensive.
