She Freak - the only good thing about this movie is that the backdrop of the whole thing is an early 60s carnival in real time. COOL. the story sucked.
The Company of Wolves - fantastic in all the ways. Dreamscape, Angela Lansbury spitting scary/based fairy tale morals, also maybe the greatest werewolf transformation movie no one knows about?!

I finally watched The Suicide Squad, because after watching the second episode of Lanterns, Peacemaker was presented as an option, but I felt like it wouldn’t make sense until I watched TSS, and I didn’t end up watching Peacemaker.

Dolly Parton brought heart into everything. Also, Muppet Treasure Island respected its source material 1000X more compared to how Return to Silent Hill treats SH2, while having lines like "We put the rat in pirate" & "Mr Bimbo lives in my finger."

Have finally seen Rashomon so I can finally do all the “that’s not how I remember it” jokes I want (also it’s great)

Our kid is going through a Studio Ghibli thing so we're rewatching a bunch of stuff!
The Secret World of Arietty (4.5 stars) - Wonderful! It makes me want to be a borrower.
The Lost Boys (5 stars) - A favorite since I was a teen!
Corey Feldman vs The World (3.5 stars) - My husband kept saying it was exactly like This is Spinal Tap. Fascinating.
Spirited Away (3.5 stars) - It just has too many weird scenes, makes me uncomfortable. I still appreciate it some! -
It's a telling sign that life has been lifing particularly hard when my #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched are all documentaries. It almost always means they've been playing in the background like glorified audiobooks while I've done depressingly boring s**t.
