Too bad I didn't post this earlier in the week, as I had a couple more 5 star movies on my list.

  5. Heute kein #LastFourWatched weil ich einfach zwei Wochen keinen Film schaden konnte. Geht bald aber weiter mit den #LetterboxdFriday.

  6. #Letterboxd isn't active in the fediverse — to my knowledge — so I'm working on a bot account to repost their recommendations here.

Images in their Bsky feed don't include #AltText. Which seems odd coming from an organization made up of film-lovers, since closed-captioning is commonplace in films themselves.

Would you help me give them a little nudge?

  8. there's a whole tier of films from the 70s and 80s that only exist in the memory of people who watched them as they aired. miniseries especially — no theatrical run, no streaming footprint, just gone except in the minds of people who caught them. #LetterboxdFriday

  9. #LastFourWatched

  10. 1. Opus. I'm a fan of John Malkovich being weird, and Ayo Edebiri was wonderful.
    2. C.O.G. - broke my suspension of disbelief with cringe. Denis O'Hare = +1 star.
    3. Everything Is Illuminated made my movie week. Premium!

  12. I'm taking part in #LetterboxdFriday for the first time. I thought why not to write. I want to share with three films and a tv-series.

**No Country For Old Men** - neo-western involving cortel, cowboys and a methodical killer.

**Backrooms** - for my opinion a successeful adaptation of the famous internet horror about a creepy inner side which looks like an office apartment with countless variations of floor generation. It was made pretty beautiful, but I suddenly fell asleep in th middle of the film.

**Untouchables** - interesting film about Chicago police attempting to catch Al Capone - infuential person who intimidated a whole city.

**The Gentleman** - netflix tv series about a new count who inherited a whole mansion, achres of fine land and marijuana farm which creates a lot of trouble in his way rebuilding family bussiness. If you've already watched Guy Ritchies' The Gentlemen released in 2019, then it shows exactly the same story but with the bunch of madness which didn't fit in the film.
