J'ai une question #wifi :
J'ai une freebox, trois répéteurs Free et un répéteur TP-Link.
Les murs sont épais et le signal circule mal, c'est pour ça. Grâce aux répéteurs, j'ai du signal partout.
Le problème, c'est que mon téléphone Android ne bascule pas automatiquement vers le répéteur le plus adapté.
Quand je change de pièce, je suis toujours connecté au réseau, mais les paquets se perdent.
Si je deconnecte puis reconnecte le wifi du téléphone, la connexion revient à fond sans perte de paquets.
Est-ce qu'il y a une astuce pour dire au téléphone de changer de répéteur plus fréquemment ? -

Es scheint Allgemeinwissen der #Linux Community zu sein, dass installieren von #Wifi Treibern unter alten #MacbookPro nicht Plugnplay ist. Das Wissen müsste nicht sein, das ist etwas sehr schade.

Couple days ago I changed up my WIFI config. No new equipment: just refreshing settings, changing defaults and the password, etc. Eventually got through updating all my devices that connect.
EXCEPT... my 2 Brother printers. Forgot about them, because honestly I rarely print anything these days (how 'bout you)?
Until I needed to print a couple items to mail... and then....

Hopefully this nonsense is resolved in the future when Trump is out of office.
In the meantime, they're claiming some corporations can be made exempt if they agree to include U.S. approve control ship, firmware, and pay a fee.
Netgear seems to have been the first company to apply for that exception (see URL). But who wants a router with USA approved spyware? 🙄
Suggest people look into alternative hardware, while it is still available.

A reminder,
The U.S. Government has made new routers, illegal.
To be more accurate, they made it so no new routers made outside the U.S.A. could be imported and sold in the U.S.A. The problem is no mainstream manufacture makes routers in the United States,
The current supply currently available in stores and warehouses is all that is currently left. Many people have yet to know this, but that is why router prices are slowly climbing.
Suggest you buy WiFi 7 soon.

An 100 SBB Bahnhöfen ab dieser Woche SBB-OPENROAMING. iOS und Android machen einem die Installation nicht ganz einfach. Aber wenn das Profil installiert ist, kann man WiFi weltweit(!) nutzen ohne sich überall neu zu registrieren - _wenn_ OpenRoaming verfügbar ist 😉
