Humans have set themselves apart from the universe. We are not really as in control as we think. We're denying and working hard at them. We are distracting ourselves.

In doing so, we procede to traumatise our species and the ecology of which we are a part.
We/I/you have choices we/you/I have decisions to make, and like the adolescents we are, we're afraid of the consequences, but we can face them together through trust & acceptance.

We are developing a future we can be proud to hand to generations to come.

We are what Tich Nat Hahn called interbeing which goes beyond interconnected, though it is that as well. The South African word ubuntu sums it up well 'I am because you are'.

We are taught that we can be separate, and we can, but in doing so we lose a large part of ourselves. We also deprive ourselves and our kin, all the living constituents of our beautiful planet and universe. Until we accept what I call unity in diversity, a adequate term but a possible starting point, we will continue the hurt and trauma of generations.

There are many forms of democracy that have to, by definition, be an experiment. Representation has had its day.
I don't need professional politicians; I need an accountable civil service.
I don't need lobbyists; I need choice.
I don't need representation; I need a place.
I don't need to be told; I need to be heard.
I don't need divisive tribal politics.
What I need is a fully staffed, well trained, truly independent civil service, guided by peoples assemblies, guided by experience. We can have #Unityindiversity.
"I" can't speak for "others" but "we" can agree, if not we can have a dialogue, there is a way through this and many of the the 99% are experimenting with options. Others are waking up every day and joining the conversation. Many of them are taking action. I am grateful.

Unity
A direction or colour of politics causes more division. I realise it is naive to not "talk about politics," but we can talk about it differently in the sense we can not add to that division.
If a conversation subject causes friction, that's ok. It's how we learn and, more importantly, how we learn to think. If that friction is painful, it needs to be examined in a way that supports & develops individual and community growth.
Some people find that investigation of painful experience/emotion at a particular point in life is too difficult. That's OK. It does not mean I agree with the expression of that learning or pain. It may come to a point where I can't be with that person due to that expression.
Acceptance is not agreement. Healing has to begin with recognition.

Unity

Here's my thinking the following hashtags are the cornerstone of most if not all political ideologies, practices & theories. I understand some "act" more than others & the systems of domination control all our action. But when we choose a label we add to the divisive politics of the mess we're in.

He is trying to fix it from inside, I would prefer he looks at developing systems proposed by thinkers such as Joanna Macy, Kate Raworth, Jeremy Lent, Rianne Eisler and other systems thinkers.
Partnership would be a good start instead of trying to "save a generation of young people from unemployment". Maybe defining
work/employment as more than a means to collect tax could be looked at as well.

Lee's Place is a volunteer-run, community powered project dedicated to tackling poverty, hunger, and social isolation through practical community action. It's hot food hub operates seven evenings per week, offering free, home-cooked meals and essential supplies to people experiencing homelessness and hardship.

We've only been in our new home a couple of months but it really feels like home, it's where we were meant to be. A great community space used during the day by local groups, charities and others for workshops, training and meetings and by night a vibrant and industrious hot food hub run by volunteers for the homeless.

With collective security combined with control of arms, both sales & production, humans could live in peace. Conflict will never be allowed to "get out of hand"

I am beginning to wake up to poetry. I am in awe at the creativity of humanity.
The poem addresses my/our need to reconnect and recognise again the relationality of all things human and more than human.
I will be reading more poetry, I have been reading Emily Dickinson and feel her simplicity.
