  1. 🆕🚌 Alexander Dennis has delivered five Enviro200 single-decker buses to #Herefordshire operator Sargeants Bros in a repeat order linked to ongoing fleet expansion. The 8.9m, 30-seat buses with seatbelts will operate local services from the firm’s new Hereford depot, opened on 13 April.

The vehicles feature real-time passenger information, twin display screens and induction loops for hearing-impaired users, meeting PSVAR requirements, and carry Sargeants’ traditional red livery.

The order follows the operator’s first Enviro200 in 2025, with more now in service. Managing director Matt Evans cited suitability for rural routes, fuel efficiency and strong aftersales support as key factors.

Sargeants Bros operates around 45 buses across Herefordshire and #Powys. Since its 2019 acquisition, the fleet has grown significantly alongside expanded routes and investment in staff and technology. Alexander Dennis welcomed the repeat order and continued partnership.

  6. This photo was mine and I added some light beams and dust using Nano Banana in Gemini.

The typewriter is 100 years old, found in Brockhampton, #herefordshire. There's something fascinating about a machine so old, so mechanical and still working.

I imagined it had been sometime since a story had been typed on it. The morning light peers through, lighting the dusty keys saying "Today is the day to write."

  11. We have guests at the bottom of the garden.
I don't eat meat, but the local family farm does do a very good job.
    Meat should cost more.

  19. I am not on Meta to make "friends" with people who haven't contacted me in years. I am there to manage two groups, which I hope bring each of us into community in the locality of where I live that is Herefordshire. Social media can be a positive support, but to my mind, Meta is an environment in which we are led not encouraged, so I choose to meet face to face wherever possible.
The groups on Meta are Herefordshire Collective and AfH group Herefordshire.
I will try and attend chatty cafes whenever I can, including Monday mornings at Lee's Place.
