Watching The Fix again. The topic is AI. It's not nearly as funny, because I've spent the whole show going, no, it don't work like that. That won't happen, etc.
It was made in 2018 and one of the big things they're worried about is retail workers being replaced by robots. They had scAmazon in 2018, right? Also self-checkout machines had already started rolling out in Aotearoa back then. Did they not have them in the US?
Seems to me the horse already pretty much bolted on that one.
