Als Übersicht für Radtouren funktioniert #TagSpaces schon recht gut. Es stellt eine Karte dar und platziert Thumbnails der GPX/FIT-Dateien drauf. Die Thumbnails und den Koordinaten-Tag generiere ich selber an den Ort, wo TagSpaces sie gerne hätte. Im rechten Panel sieht man oben die kleine Kartendarstellung von TagSpaces und unten die Route und Statistik der Route, was beides meine Viewer-Extension macht.
Das löst zumindest einen kleinen Teil von rubiTrack ab.

In den letzten Tagen habe ich außerdem etliche Migrationsskripte entwickelt, die eine #DEVONthink -Datenbank nach #TagSpaces migrieren, inkl. Übernahme der Schlagworte, Labels und Custom Metadata. Ein erster Test mit meiner Notizen-Datenbank war erfolgreich. Ich werde mich jetzt von Datenbank zu Datenbank migrieren. Der erste Umzug wird aber meine Fahrradrouten-Datenbank werden, weil die am meisten Spaß machen dürfte, mit den unterschiedlichen Ansichten von TagSpaces 😃. #MacToLinux

Nach etwas Arbeit gestern Abend gibt es nun eine #TagSpaces Extension für FIT- und GPX-Dateien, die mein wahoo-Radcomputer ausspuckt, inklusive Thumbnail-Generierung. Die Thumbnail-Generierung setzt auch gleich die passenden Tags für den Zeitstempel des Tourstarts und die Koordinaten. Letzteres sorgt dann hoffentlich dafür, dass die Map-Perspective direkt die Routen-Startpunkte auf einer Gesamt-Karte platziert:

Ich lerne: ext4 hat kein sinnvoll nutzbares birth date einer Datei.
Unter macOS setzt Devonthink das birth date der Datei im Dateisystem, wenn ich im DMS das Erstellungsdatum ändern.
Das erklärt wohl auch, weshalb es in #TagSpaces dafür kein Feld gibt, sondern ein Zeitstempel-Tag genutzt wird.

Ich teste gerade #TagSpaces und das scheint tatsächlich einen Teil meiner Devonthink-Anforderungen erfüllen zu können. Es legt einfach nur einen Metadatenlayer über das Dateisystem und speichert die Metadaten im Dateinamen (oder Sidecar-Dateien). Den Sync realisiert man dann selber, z.B. verschlüsselt in irgendeine Cloud. #mactolinux
Joplin war für meine Ansprüche eine herbe Enttäuschung, aber für die vielen anderen, die nur notieren und ein Bild einfügen möchten, ist es bequem und ausreichend.

I’ve always wanted to have more than just folders 📂 and file names 📄 I want easily accessible and viewable metadata, to group and organise files across projects. Add comments to files and annotations to pdfs without editing their contents. Anyone else doing something like this? I’m considering trying out #TagSpaces. I was also wondering whether you could hack something like this out with #Zotero 🤔
