    Sam Altman, CEO OpenAI, wydaje się rozważać taki scenariusz. Według doniesień „The Wall Street Journal”, twórca ChatGPT prowadził zaawansowane rozmowy w sprawie przejęcia kontroli nad firmą rakietową Stoke Space.

    Apetyt sztucznej inteligencji na energię elektryczną rośnie w tempie wykładniczym. Już teraz w samych Stanach Zjednoczonych funkcjonuje ponad 5000 centrów danych, a prognozy Goldman Sachs mówią o wzroście zapotrzebowania na prąd przez ten sektor o 165 proc. do 2030 roku. Altman, świadomy ograniczeń ziemskiej sieci energetycznej, szuka alternatyw. Jedną z nich, o której wspominał w wywiadach, jest umieszczenie infrastruktury obliczeniowej w kosmosie, gdzie panele słoneczne mogłyby pracować z wyższą niż na Ziemi wydajnością.
